Yesterday at Kano, speaking during the Tarauni Market Tradermoni distribution, Barr. Isma’eel Ahmed, former special adviser to the president on social investment programmes revealed that, 200,000 traders in Kano has been granted loan under the tradermoni programme.
He mentioned that traders were paying back loans in due time and this can improve their chances of getting higher loan sums.
Also present at the event was the GEE Chief operating officer, Mr Uzoma Nwagba, who spoke on behalf of the Bank of Industry ( BOI). He called on traders to be prompt in paying their debt to enable them access higher sums and improve their businesses.
The chairman of Taurauni market traders, Malam Sulaimanu Musa, also spoke to the traders and adviced the traders use the loans judiciously. He further explained the need to pay back the loans as the money was not given for free.
