1. The attention of the Military Pensions Board has been drawn to misleading news indicating that the proposed MPB VERIFICATION EXERCISE for retired members of the Armed Forces has commenced. The Board wishes to inform all pensioners and the general public to disregard such news. This speculating information is false and does not represent the position of the Board. Consequently, the Board will notify all concerned veterans in due course on when the verification exercise will be conducted after all modalities for the exercise has been concluded. You may recall that the Board recently carried out a trial on ELECTRONIC VERIFICATION with selected pensioners and some banks to ascertain possibility of adopting same to replace the manual system being used hitherto.

2. Against this background, the Board kindly wishes to appeal to leaders of all veteran associations and other stakeholders to inform and educate members accordingly.

3. Thank you for your usual cooperation
